2011-2012 Student Account Information In preparation for the upcoming academic year below is quick links to important information to help both new and continuing students make the transition for Spring 2012 semester more manageable. Health Insurance Waiver for Spring 2012 Enrollment in the TCNJ Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) is mandatory for students registered full time (undergraduates enrolled in 3 or more units per semester; graduate students enrolled in 9 or more credit hours per semester). However a waiver can be applied by students who will have health insurance coverage with at least basic hospital benefits throughout the upcoming semester, and who submit the online Waiver Form providing evidence of health insurance coverage during the Waiver Period. Office of Student Financial Assistance-www.tcnj.edu/~sfs/aid/. Visit the financial aid website to to learn how to apply, report, and manage any loans, grants, and scholarships. Auxiliary Access- www.tcnj.edu/~recreg/policies/AuxiliaryAccess. Sign up a parent or authorized user to have the ability to receive billing email notifications and/or access to information regarding your account. Student may register up to three person(s) to receive these notifications. SallieMae Tuition Payment Plan-http://www.tcnj.edu/~sfs/account/installments.html. The Sallie Mae Tuition Payment Plan is another payment alternative for the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 semesters. There is a nominal enrollment fee to set up the payment plan. This plan allows you to pay your charges for tuition, fees, room, and board in monthly installments. Tuition Refund Insurance Plan-www.tcnj.edu/~sfs/insurance. This voluntary plan covers the cost of tuition and certain should you have to withdraw from the College due to an unforeseen injury or illness. Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP)- http://www.tcnj.edu/~sa/health/studentinsurance.html. Learn about the benefits of the Student Health Insurance Plan. which every full-time student is automatically enrolled by visiting http://health.pages.tcnj.edu/student-health-insurance-plan-ship/shipbenefits/. If you desire to waive the health insurance coverage, please check your TCNJ email for an upcoming e-mail with waiver instructions. There will be no exceptions granted after the waiver deadline has passed. Refund Direct Deposit-www.tcnj.edu/~sfs/billing/. Enroll in direct deposit by following the instructions listed on the billing website. With Direct Deposit, any credit balance created by overpayment is refunded directly to your bank account, saving yourself a trip to the bank. Auxiliary Access User (Alternate Bill PayerAccess /Billing E-Mail Notification)Students have the ability to sign up to three Auxiliary Access Users to have access to their student account and receive e-billing notifications. Student E-MailIt is the responsibility of all students to check/maintain their TCNJ e-mail for their bill notification each month. To ensure compliance with FERPA regulations, bill notifications will only be sent to the TCNJ e-mail account of the student responsible for the account. E-mail Policy
Student Permission FormThe Department of Education requires a student’s authorization before the Title IV financial aid credits can be applied to prior semester balances. Students have the ability to complete the online Student Permission Form authorizing the College to pay the outstanding charges with your financial aid credit.
The form is located in the Finances section of your Student Center. To access your Student Center, please follow these steps: 1. Login to MyTCNJ at: https://cas1.tcnj.edu/cas/login?service=https%3A%2F%2Fmy.tcnj.edu%2F 2. Click on PAWS 3. In Self Service, click on Student Center, 4. In the Finances section, click on the drop down arrow located next to “other financial...” 5. Select View Student Permission Form and click on the go arrows. 6. On the permission form page, click on the green box – Grant Permission – and follow the steps.
