Protecting Your PrivacyFor years, Social Security Numbers have been an effective way for the College to uniquely identify individuals. However, the recent increase in identity thefts and privacy issues related to Social Security Numbers has become a major concern for campus communities. Over the past few years, TCNJ has worked to remove the Social Security Number as the unique identifier in our systems wherever possible. Protecting our faculty, staff and student's private information is a responsibility The College of New Jersey takes very seriously. Cardholders are now issued a randomly generated 16-digit number, which significantly improves privacy protection. |
