Winter Weather Reminders
As a reminder, The College’s parking regulations indicate that there is no overnight parking (midnight to 6 a.m.) in surface lots 3-5 or the top level of the Lot 6 parking garage from November 30 through March 31 of each year. Please be advised that, regardless of weather conditions, these regulations are still in effect for this entire time period.
Please note that when snow removal operations are expected due to an impending weather event, the Office of Grounds and Automotive Services will post barricades on the entrance lane of the upper levels of the Lot 8 and Lot 9 parking garages. Following this no vehicles are permitted to park on the top level. Additionally, individuals already parked on the top level of Lot 8 and Lot 9 should relocate their vehicles to the lower levels of their assigned parking garage. If there is no parking available, Lot 6 parking garage may be used for overflow.
It is recommended that, between November 30 and March 31, individuals who do not anticipate being on campus while their vehicles are still parked should not park on the top level of Lot 8 or Lot 9, as they may not be able to remove their vehicles in time for snow removal operations.
Your attention to this reminder is greatly appreciated. By following these regulations and recommendations The College will be able to respond more effectively with snow removal operations, which results in safer parking facilities.
