Summary of Discussions / Things to Do
- Google Calendar, if you have not yet registered, please do so.
- In process of getting a key/permanent access to our room.
- Starting NEXT weekend, budgeted 2 hour team meeting. Same time,
same day, every week. Decide if you would prefer Sat or Sun.
- Dr. Yan will be emailing sponsor brochures to Jim and last years
technical report to everyone to review.
- The website is now up and running as of Sept 3
- New info will be added every week with notes from the Wed group
meeting
Testing: Sunday September 7, 2008 (Weather Permitting)
- Hitch was obtained from Dr. Asper
- Core Creek State park
- Need to have boat license, trailer license
- GPS will benefit in endurance testing (speed + distance)
- Boat will be ready by Friday
- Endurance test is most important test; it is a test of the
batteries. They are currently fully charged
- Sean is able to get life jackets from the RHA.
- GPS will be used to estimate total distance and speed for the
endurance test.
- How long does it take the batteries to reach 11.6V
- Test Plan: One measurement every ten minutes for first 40
minutes, then greater resolution from 40 minutes until the test is
completed…
- Alternative Test Plan – utilization of digital camera to read
meters
Immediate Goals:
- Successful completion of testing on Sunday
- Jim will be modifying the sponsor brochure and creating a budget
- Once testing is complete, the group needs to set group and
individual goals/deadlines.
- Once testing is complete, we will know what we want to change,
and from there it’s grinding
