Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs
As the central student affairs department of the College, the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs is responsible for the overall coordination of programs, services and resources within the area. This office serves students directly through consultation and advisement, and offers assistance to students as well as faculty, staff, and parents.
James M. Norfleet, Vice President for Student Affairs
Jim Norfleet is a strong believer in the power of education to transform individual lives and communities. For more than two decades he has worked to expand educational opportunity and create campus learning environments that support the success of all students. His previous experience includes administrative and teaching posts at Pace University, Nyack College, and California State Polytechnic University at Pomona, where he served as associate vice president for student services before coming to TCNJ in August 2006. Currently a doctoral candidate at UCLA, his dissertation examines the experiences of African American college students.
Magda Manetas, Assistant Vice President for Student Services
Magda Manetas received her bachelor of science in foreign service degree
from Georgetown University and her master of education degree in higher
education administration from the University of Vermont. She was previously
the Director of Residence Life at TCNJ before becoming Director of
Student Life. Ms. Manetas has previously served in residence life
positions at the Catholic University of America and Rider University
before coming to TCNJ.
