Eligibility

Summer Programs' Undergraduate Admission is open to:

  • TCNJ Students
  • College graduates
  • Students currently enrolled in a post-secondary education institution who are in good academic standing.
  • High school graduates who possess the high school equivalency certificate.
  • High school Seniors or Juniors who have submitted a high school transcript and a letter from their high school guidance counselor recommending admission to summer school.

TCNJ undergraduate students who have not attended The College of New Jersey for two or more regular semesters, must apply through the Office of Admissions.


Summer Programs' Graduate Admission is open to:

  • College graduates
  • Students currently enrolled in a post-baccalaureate education institution who are in good academic standing.

Please note: The College reserves the right to deny admission to any student it deems unqualified.


High School Students

TCNJ welcomes academically talented rising high school juniors and seniors as participants in the Summer Sessions Experience.

TCNJ requires that the interested student submit the following documents upon application:

  • TCNJ Summer Sessions' Mail In Application - available on the Summer Programs' Web site at Visiting Students Registration page
  • High school transcript which contains the most recent standardized tests scores (PSAT/SAT)
  • 2 letters of recommendation (one from a guidance counselor  and one from a current or former instructor)

International Students

Only international students who have been previously admitted to The College of New Jersey may enroll in the summer sessions. A Form I-20 must be issued before a student may attend classes. Please contact the Office of Summer Programs for further information at (609) 771-2596 or the Office of Graduate Studies for further information at (609) 771-2300.


Dismissal or Suspension

Anyone who has been dismissed or suspended from a College or University within one calendar year of the beginning of the summer session is not eligible to enroll in TCNJ Summer Programs.
