Technical difficulties in AY 2007-08, university email system failure. Due to technical issues, many applicants did not receive timely confirmation that their proposals were accepted, resulting in low turn-out for SWGSA panels. The Program plan 2009: chair panels enhancing interdisciplinary nature of program as a whole: invited sessions and papers. Ideas:

  • Point-person for invited panels, interdisciplinary in nature.
  • Recruit papers for special panels
  • Joint sessions; need to cross-list sessions
  • Institutional memory needs to be maintained – be more proactive
  • Due to fewer rooms in Denver, consider "donating" some rooms to affiliates who will work with us on cross listed panels
