The College of New Jersey Bowling Club is an organization designed to allow TCNJ students to bowl competitively against students from other colleges and universities from all over the region and the country. It was founded in 1994 and has been in competition since that time and will continue to function and grow into the future. The club is open to all students of TCNJ who share a desire to bowl competitively and a dedication to improve their own personal bowling aptitude.
Bowling at TCNJ is not under the administration of the athletic department, but like most college bowling teams it is recognized as a club sport. Unlike other sports, all college bowling teams compete in the same division regardless of sport (NCAA) or club status or size of the college or university. The TCNJ Bowling Club competes at the highest (and only) level of competition under the administration of College Bowling USA.
The TCNJ Bowling Club competes in the Eastern Intercollegiate Bowling Conference (EIBC) against area schools such as William Paterson, St. John's University, Temple University, West Point and several others. Conference competition takes us to stops in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey. In addition to competition inside of our conference, Tthe TCNJ Bowling Club sends teams to outside tournaments where we compete against schools on a regional and national level. In past seasons TCNJ bowling has competed in tournaments in Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas and Columbus (Ohio) in addition to regional tournaments that take place in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and New York. Our competitive schedule runs from October to February while practice begins in September and runs until the end of the school year in May.
