TCNJ Lunar Rover Project
TCNJ LUNAR ROVER PROJECT
The TCNJ Lunar Rover Project is an
organization that challenges engineering students at The College of New
Jersey to design and manufacture a
human-powered lunar rover vehicle for the annual NASA-sponsored,
Great Moon Buggy Race. The vehicle performs functions similar
to the NASA moonbuggy that navigated the moon's surface during the
Apollo 15 mission of 1971. The quality of the design is tested when
the students compete against entries from colleges and universities across
the country. The competition takes place on the grounds of the Marshall
Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
