The NASA-sponsored 6th Annual Great Moon Buggy Race was
held on April 17, 1999. The competition was held on the grounds of the
Marshall Space flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
The long and complicated design and manufacturing process began
in May, 1998 and lasted until the competition in April, 1999.
After a day of intense competition and a year of hard work, the TCNJ Lunar
Rover Team was awarded the "Best Design" award from the AIAA (American
Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics). This award represented
the 2nd consecutive National Championship for the TCNJ Lunar Rover
Team.
