Welcome to the homepage of The College of New Jersey's Technology Education Society.

TES members participate in a wide variety of activities which relate their studies and future careers as technology educators. They are active in many events such as the TECA East regional event and the ITEA National Conference.

At the 2005 ITEA National Conference, students placed first in the Problem Solving and Technology Challenges, third place in the Transportation Challenge, and fourth place in the Communications Challenge.

Hello all Technology Education and M/S/T Majors!

We would like to announce the elections for the Executive Board for the Technology
Education Society (TES) which will take place entirely online this year! Executive
Board members can be either Tech Ed students or MST students with an exception of
the MST Vice President and the TE Vice President. If you are interested in running
for any position, please read the position description below and then fill out the
brief application by clicking on the link below NO LATER THAN FRIDAY APRIL 25TH at
12 noon.

ALL MST and TE students are encouraged to vote and the voting will take place
between April 28th and May 1st. After all applications are received, the
information will be sent via email to all majors and also posted in Armstrong Room
114. Please take the time to read the applications and biographies prior to voting.

President: Your responsibility is to manage and oversee the rest of the executive
board, delegate tasks, and manage a lot of event planning. You serve as the liaison
between the Society and the faculty advisor in certain instances and need to have
good organizational skills. You work very closely with the two vice presidents and
the rest of the executive board especially during times of event planning and TECA.
You also plan and hold executive and general board meetings as necessary.

Tech Ed Vice-President: Your responsibility is to work along with the president and
the MST Vice President in order to manage the day to day necessities of TES. You
work along with the entire board to run meetings, events, and any other activities.
You also serve as the liaison between the Society and the Tech Ed majors.

MST Vice Vice-President: Your responsibility is to work along with the president and
the TE Vice President in order to manage the day to day necessities of TES. You
work along with the entire board to run meetings, events, and any other activities.
You also serve as the liaison between the Society and the MST majors.

Treasurer: Your responsibility is to handle the budget of TES by planning expenses
for our events such as TECA and FIRST robotics along with the other board members
and advisors, finalizing all reimbursements by working with the Student Finance
Board, and also keeping track of the current amount in the account. All necessary
training will be completed with the current treasurer Danielle Romero prior the
start of the school year, so don’t worry!!

Secretary: Your responsibility is to work along with the other board members at
meetings in regards to planning, check the TES email account and mailbox in the
student center, send emails to members, and manage all necessary paperwork.

Recorder: Your responsibility is to record all of the minutes for the Executive
Board and General Board meetings and then sending these minutes to the members in
order to make sure that everyone stays on task.

Please remember that this executive board works together in order to successfully
plan and complete all activities and events but certain people may need to be in
charge of specific tasks such as the budget, emails, etc. The executive board is a
group effort. Good luck!
