Read the Siren!

fall 2006 welcome

Welcome to the Fall 2006 Online Issue of the Siren. Regardless of
budget cuts, the Siren will continue to provide a forum for the literary
and artistic endeavors of the campus community. This site marks the
second annual online issue of the magazine. It is a little bit different
than last year's, but it functions very similarly. To best view the site,
please set your browser font preference to Arial. This issue has been
set up so that you can choose how you want to read the work that is
published here. You may read the issue like you would read a print
magazine by clicking the next button on the bottom of the white text
area. This will take you through the issue in the order that the art
director has created for you. If you prefer to browse by type of work,
or if you are looking for a specific author or artist, check out the Index
pages, which allow you to jump to any poem, short story, or work of
art you want to see. You may also jump to the notes from the editors,
the staff listing, or read the bios of our contributors (all coming soon).
Additionally, you have the option to replay the Intro movie, visit the
Siren's homepage, or download a printable version of the text and
images (coming soon as well). Unfortunately, the Siren can't publish
all of what is submitted at one time, so whether or not you were
accepted into this issue, please submit your work again! And, if you
didn't submit anything yet, we'd love to hear from you. For those who
just enjoy being supportive followers of our mission, please continue
to look for our future publications because we guarantee there will be
many more! So, sit back, grab a snack (but don't get your computer
dirty), position your hand over your mouse, and take some time to
explore what these talented writers and artists have to offer.
You won't be disappointed.
