Interest Sessions will be held in late February/early March for students who want to find out about becoming a tutor for the next academic year.
Applications will be available at the Interest Sessions, and you can schedule a interview appointment at the end of the session.
Requisites for the position:
- 3.00 GPA or better
- B+ or better in courses applicant wishes to tutor
- Available and willing to tutor at least five hours per week
- Must be interested in assisting students with writing as well as humanities and social science course material.
- Must enroll in both IDS 291 and IDS 292 (These are one-credit courses which provide tutor training.)
- Must attend mandatory Center Procedures training session(s) during the first week of the semester.
- Must attend the January Conference on the first Saturday after the Spring semester begins.
Three faculty recommendations are required.
