Au Revoir

by Alex Seise, Editor-in-Chief

And so it has arrived: my last semester at The College of New Jersey, and my last semester at the helm of unbound. It has been a wild journey but at long last, my next destination is in sight.

Beginning May 18, 2009, I will be working as the online writer, blogger and video content producer for Movers.com. It’ll be a great career filled with writing, multimedia and total submersion in the online world.

I truly believe that unbound has prepared me for this exciting position. It was here that I learned how to use Photoshop to resize and edit images. And it was at this publication that I learned how to copy edit, create layouts and upload articles. unbound has helped me procure a job in one of recent history’s most depressed economic states, and for that, I am thankful.

So as you read about taxi drivers’ juicy stories and the best places to grab a cup of tea, think about all of the work that went into this issue. As you learn about Macho Glam and Demetri Martin, the comedian who recently visited our campus, think ahead to your next step. And as you hear opinions about the future of newspapers and the functionality of Twitter, consider how your own future might change along with trends.

I look forward to reading many issues of unbound in the future, and I wish the future editorial staff members all the best. This has been such an exquisite experience, and without it, I believe I would not feel nearly as fulfilled as I do as an upcoming graduate.

All my best,
