Meeting Minutes: 1/23/02

- We discussed details of what to include in our fundraising letter we
will be sending out to alumni instead of the phone-a-thon.  Christina is
going to write a rough draft up and we will most likely finalize a copy at
next week's meeting.

- We are planning on having speakers again this semester.  The talks would
most likely be on forensic computing and the transition from school to the
professional world.  These two talks are still in the planning stages.

- The CS Picnic is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, April 24.  We are
trying to make it fit in well with campus schedules and finals.

- The induction ceremony will be planned once we learn of any new
inductees that qualified based on last semester.  It will most likely be
held in March.

- We are also thinking of having a game night for a CS-wide social event
to get the students in the department to come out and interact with each
other.  Some ideas are card games and board games.  This will be further
discussed next meeting.
