UPE minutes 2/4/99

Sorry for the delay in getting this out, but here it is ...

Coming Events:

Alimni Event -- Dave will contact Marla Fischer or Jen Drew from the
Alumni Affairs office to get names of interested speakers.  If anybody
knows of anyone form local business or industry that would be interested 
in coming to speak, please let Dave know.

T-Shirt Fundraiser --  Erik is in Italy for the semester, but we have his
drawings and are planning to move forward with this project.  Craig will
be looking into this.

TECH-NJ web site -- This is a great opportunity for service.  Volunteers
are needed to do some work for the web site.  There may be funds involved
that can be applied to the picnic or other UPE activities.  Scott Purcell
expressed interest.  If anyone else is interested, contact Dr. Knox.

High School Programming Contest -- Several profs. are interested in
running the HS programming contest again.  Tim will be arranging a
meeting to begin organizing this event.  Brice, Scott, and Greg expressed
interest in helping out.  If anyone else is interested, please let Tim
know ASAP.

Meeting Time:  We had some discussion on possibly moving the meeting to an
earlier time.  Address coments and concerns on this issue to Dave and Tim.

Dr. Goldberg Memorial Service: The ceremony will be held on Thurs. Feb 18
at 4:00 PM in the Music Building main concert hall.  Donations to the
Charles Goldberg Computer Science Prize should be made out to "TCNJ
Foundation - Charles Goldberg CS Prize" and giver to Dr. Neff.

Unless notified otherwise, our next meeting will be ont Thurs. Feb. 18 at
8:00 PM in HH 353.  Please be there.
