The minutes for the February 10, 2003 meeting are as follows: Last meeting was a relatively short meeting and we were just trying to evaluate our progress on all of the programs that we have been continuously working on. The three main programs that we are having are as follows: 3/1 (Saturday) - Architecture Outreach 3/22 (Saturday) - Programming Contest 3/29 (Saturday) - Girls Outreach Program **For all of you that did not attend the meeting, PLEASE e-mail Emily (gibson2@tcnj.edu) if you are able to help out on any of the three programs. ** As far as attracting people to come to the progams, as of now we have 15 people signed up to come to architecture outreach and 10 girls to come to the girls outreach program. FACTS is going to start up pretty soon. Here are some people we hope will be able to give presentations for FACTS. Eric Thul - Perl. Mike Montalto-Rook - graphics (Photoshop). John Kane - topic TBA. Mike Massini - PHP. Mark Strohmayer - networking. Also, we were able to get Dave Watkins to come in to give a presentation on wireless networks. Remember if you would like to present any topic relevant to computer science, send Emily an email. Other topics discussed: We want to have another game night and another movie night this semester. We got a lot of good feedback concerning the proposed Operating System debate. We might have the debate on Wednesday, March 5. There will be another email sent out that gives the details on this. Some time in April we will have an end of the semester dinner at Dr. Knox's house. The Architecture people got together at the end of the meeting to discuss the content of their Power Point presentation. Karl and Chris looked through the alumni book and found out who was in UPE. We will contact the UPE alum sometime in the near future. Finally, we agreed we need to make the UPE picnic more exciting. Paintball anyone? In closing, email Emily and get involved in any of the three programs. We need to buckle down and work together to make these programs a success. See all of you soon.
