Meeting Minutes: 2/13/02

- We planned out what we are going to do for the game night we are
having next week in lieu of a meeting.  The room we acquired for the
night is Holman Hall 123, and the game night is starting at 7:00 PM.
Try to show up 15 minutes early so we can go over any UPE business if
necessary.

	Emily is going to bring the following games:
	- Trivial Pursuit
	- Scrabble
	- Pictionairy
	- Taboo
	
	Steve is bringing the following:
	- Soda
	- Snacks
	- a few decks of playing cards

- Bring any other game you might want to play, the more choice the better.
We also planned on possibly chipping in to buy pizza, we'll figure that
out on Wednesday night.

- The flyers are completed and will go up Thursday or Friday.

- Emily Gibson is organizing two volunteer activities in conjunction with 
Golden Key that are computer related.  The first is the Ewing SeniorNet 
Computer Literacy Center located right around the corner off Green Lane.  
Senior citizens take classes on a variety of computer basics from Windows 98 
and simple desktop publishing to databases and personal web page creation.  
The courses usually run 4-8 sessions, and the sessions can occur a few times 
a week to two days a month.  The schedule is very flexible.  If you are 
interested in being an instructor or a coach or would just like to help out 
please e-mail gibson2@tcnj.edu.  There is an interest session on Wed. 2/27 at 
10.30 am if anyone would like a ride to the center, Emily is going.

- The second activity is involved with NAMI (formerly the Mercer Alliance for 
Mentally Ill).  They are looking for volunteers to do tasks ranging from 
simple desktop publishing to web site maintenance and database management.  
Most of the tasks can be completed remotely (ie on campus) and they will 
arrange rides for people who don’t have cars to come to their center if 
necessary.  Again, anyone interested in participating can e-mail 
gibson2@tcnj.edu.


- That's basically it. Christina was unable to attend, so any other outstanding
business that she takes care of will be discussed next Wednesday before Game
Night officially begins.
