MINUTES -- UPE
			Thurs. Feb. 20

Everyone,

	Sorry I couldn't make it to the meeting, but Kevin, our newly
appointed Secretary, was gracious enough to take down the minutes for me.
So here they are...

PHONE-A-THON

Meredith Murray, from Career Services, explained the specifics of
the Phone-a-Thon and showed us a video on good phone-a-thon techniques.  
The Phone-a-Thon will be March 3rd, 4th, and 5th.  There are still slots
open in shifts from 6-8pm and 7-9pm.  It will take place in Bliss 101 - 
meet there at the time of your shift.

PRETZEL SALE

The Pretzel sale was a huge success!  We sold all the pretzels and made a
total of $57.50.  That added with our current funds gives us a total of
$72.50.  We also received money from the SFB.  They gave us $37.00 for
advertisements and $10.00 for office supplies.  We're really rakin' in the
dough now!  YEAH!

INDUCTEES

The list of possible inductees to UPE has been compiled by Beverly Dash,
the Computer Science secretary.  Dr. Knox and LJ are going to review it
and the inductees will be invited to our next meeting.

INDUCTION CEREMONY

The induction ceremony will be held on March 10th at 8:00pm at Dr. Wolz's 
house. Mike Krantz generously volunteered to be on the refreshments
committee.  The Masters of Ceremony will be the senior executive officers
- LJ, April, and Jen.  

GRE FUNDRAISER

UPE, in conjunction with the Computer Science Club, will be running
another GRE practice test on Sunday, March 9th at 10am.  The Princeton
Review proctors and grades the tests for free, and we will be charging $3 
per person to take it.  The money raised will be split with the CS Club.

CMU TRIP

The CS Club and Dr. Anderson are planning a trip to Carnegie Mellon
University on April 11th.  Send e-mail to LJ (carusol@tcnj.edu) if you are
interested and available to go.  What a great opportunity!

ELECTIONS

We had our elections for next year's executive board.  The new executives
are Dave Watkins (President), Joe Kelly (Vice-President), and Kevin Little
(Secretary).  Jim Richvalsky will remain our Treasurer for next year.  New
officers should immediately talk to the officers they will replace and
help them with their tasks.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

*  The next Java Klatch will meet on Wednesday, Feb 26th in HH 253 at
   4:00pm.

*  The CS Club is sponsoring the QuakeFest this Saturday night.  Check the
   lab doors for more info.

*  Did everyone get the DiveWorld.com e-mail about making easy money?  Ask
   LJ for more details if you're interested and haven't sent her e-mail
   about it yet!

NEXT MEETING

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, March 6th at 7:00pm in Holman
Hall 252.  Please try to attend... the semester is almost halfway over!!!
