Here are the minutes from the last meeting, on February 24. Ok, the the most important thing right now is without a doubt the What's Inside Architecture Presentation. It is this Saturday! I am not a part of the architecture committee so I am not going into the details of the presentation, but the architecture committee has been working hard and are going to put on a fun and informative presentation. Everyone in the architecture committee and anyone else that can come out for help and support need to be at Holman at 8:30am. The actual presentation is set to start at 9. Some more good news concerning the architecture program - Dr. Knox has been in touch with the Trenton Times and a writer may come for the presentation on Saturday and give us a little write-up in the Times. We are actually going to set up for the architecture program late Friday afternoon, once FACTS has concluded (so probably around 4:30). Chris and Aaron are going to help set this up. We have to get the presentation room ready and bring in lots of tables to put the computers on. The computers are already disassembled. At the conclusion of the meeting a bunch of people were kind enough to stay after and take them apart so they will be ready for reassembly on Saturday. I remember Mark, Dan, Karl, and Emily staying after. I think I am missing more people as well. In any case, thanks for your hard work guys! As for the program itself on Saturday, we are going to have some juice and cookies for the participants in the morning and pizza and soda for lunch. We are also going to be getting a vegetable tray. Dan Ricart and Chris Cirone agreed to buy the food we need (they will ge reimbursed). The list is this: 4 bottles of apple juice, chips ahoy, 2 packages of Oreos (special request for douuble stuffed oreos), and vienna fingers. Also, 75 cups, 50 napkins, and 50 plates. And the vegetable tray. Alright, with all this architecture stuff going on, we must not forget about FACTS. (This semester we are focusing on student experts). The first FACTS seminar is in fact this Friday (2/28). Eric Thul will be puttingon a PERL tutorial. Aaron has agreed to run the seminar and introduce Eric. Chris is going to bring the refreshments. Here is a rundown of all the FACTS stuff we have planned: 2/28: Perl Tutorial by Eric Thul 3/21: Networking Tutorial by Mark Strohmaier 4/11: PHP Tutorial by Mike Massini 4/25: Graphics Tutorial featuring Adobe Photoshop by Mike Montalto-Rook. There are some summer internship opportunities that are available now. Towers Perrin is offering a Systems Analyst internship. You have to submit your resume by 2/26 through LionsPro. Johnson & Johnson is offerring an information systems internship. To apply submit your resume by 3/4 through LionsPro. Also Career Day is Wednesday Feb. 26 in the Student Center, so it would be a good idea to check that out. Some other miscellaneous stuff that we talked about: --This Wednesday at 3pm is the next girls outreach program meeting. --On March 20 (a Thursday) we are going to have a movie night. --The newsletter is completed, it just needs to be proofread by Dr. Knox. -We are going to have our formal induction ceremony sometime in April. We are looking to have it on a Saturday at maybe 4pm. No date has been set. --We are having the picnic on April 23 from 12 till 5pm behind ABE. Ok, thats about it. Remember Saturday at 8:30 is when we have to be at Holman for the Architecture Presentation. See you soon.
