I just wanted to let everyone know that we are not having a formal meeting tonight, even though Tuesday nights at 8 is our standard meeting time. At the last meeting we covered a lot of topics, and for the time being it is just a matter of following through on our plans. To update you all, we were able to reserve the space behind ABE on September 10 from 12 till 6. The actual picnic will be from 1 to 5, but the extra time will allow us for time to set up and clean up. I was also able to arrange for 6 tables to be alloted to us - 2 for supplies and 4 for actual sitting - yes, we have chairs too. Grills are going to have to come from the individual Townhouse offices - reserving the big grills the college supplies costs hundreds. We are going to need help setting up and cleaning up, so if you available to do either, please send me an email so I can judge if we have the needed man power. As for publicity, Mike Massimi is in the process of hanging up posters, and a department wide email will be going out shortly. Main update number 2 is FACTS. Our first FACTS will be September 12 and the topic will be ANT by Dr. DePasquale. The room number is not yet determined, but it will be by this afternoon, when i visit auxiliary services. Mike will put up flyers for this soon after. The second will be on September 19 when Jon King does a presentation for GCC Optimization. These two presentations will keep the ball rolling for now. We do have a lot of open slots so if you or anyone you know has an interesting topic they would like to present, just tell them to send email to cirone2@tcnj.edu. We still have a lot of work to do on setting up the grad school panel with alumni, the grad school panel with actual grad schools, and an industry panel. The newsletter is another topic I hope to have completed by next week's meeting. Finally, we will be having a meeting next Tuesday at 8 in HH253. This will be good because it will be right before our picnic anf first FACTS so we will be sure to have those two events ready to go and can tackly new topics. Thanks guys, and I will see you next week. There will probably be more emails between now and then, so check your email. Have a great day.
