Minutes - October 1, 2001

- We are changing the room where we are going to have meetings
  in the future.  Instead of Holman Hall 128, meetings will be  
  held in Holman Hall 252.  We've been having trouble getting in
  to the room and 252 is normally open.

- If you haven't already, please email upe@tcnj.edu with the
  address you would like us to register with ACM.  We need these
  as soon as possible.

- Flyers for the SIGGRAPH trip have been completed and approved by
  Campus Life.  We are going to post them in the CS area of Holman,
  the Art department area, and also in the Engineering building.
  Also, inform any of your friends, we want to get a good number of
  people to go.

- We are in the process of trying to get vans for transportation
  to the SIGGRAPH show.  If we can't get them, we are planning on
  running a carpool.  We should know with certainty by next week.

- New members are going to be invited soon, probably within the next
  two weeks.  We are in the process of finalizing the list and plan
  on sending the invitations through email.

- We are still figuring out how to handle the dues.  We won't be 
  collecting them until after we get a definitive answer on how 
  ACM wants us to send the money.

- We have commitments from Dave Watkins and Sam Baskinger to come
  speak as part of our Fall lecture series.  Dave is going to speak
  on wireless computing, and Sam will be a part of a joint UPE/CS Club
  lecture on grad school. Both talks are currently scheduled for 
  November.  Dates will be released as soon as possible, but will most
  likely be the two Wednesdays before thanksgiving break.

- Remember, the SIGGRAPH show trip is on October 17th.  We'll be leaving
  the college from the circle in front of the Student Center around 7PM.
  The show starts at 8 PM at the Sarnoff Corporation auditorium if you 
  would like to drive yourself.
