Also our Brian informed me that SFB has excess funds this year and are just waiting to give them to someone. If you have any interesting plans (Conferences, Trips, etc.) please bring it up in the next meeting so we can possibly try to get some them funded. Dow-Jones Computer Use Guidelines: Sam from CS Club stopped in breifly to find out who our rep on the matter was. There are still keys floating about if you know of the where abouts of any keys for the Dow-Jones computer closet please let Christian Boehnke. Campus Speaker: We have officially invited a prof from Princeton to be our speaker for next semester. He has yet to get back to us however so if you have any ideas for someone we could use as a back up speaker please let s know. Phone-a-thon: We had 21 pledges during phone-a-thon for a total of $2215 ($1090 new dollars, which will be matched by an alumnus, $725 of which will be matched by employers). Book prizes were offered to for most increased gifts, most $ of increased gifts, most pledges, and most $ of pledges-The winners are Christian, Jason, Brian R, Brian W, and Bill. Avani is currently drafting a letter to send to the alumni we were not able to contact so our pledge ammouns can only increase. T-Shirt Sale: UPE would like to have another T-shirt this year. We are looking for creative people to help out with designs and/or funny sayings. We are aiming to keep it one color to reduce costs. Please email UPE if you have any slogan ideas, or would like to head this years sale. Vice-President: Christian is graduating and so we will be needing a Vice-President, preferably a Junior. It looks great on your resume, and has minimal responsiblities. Duties are filling in for Ken if he can't making a meeting, or becoming president if Ken is assasinateted, etc. Career Night: We need to set up a small comitee to work out things for a UPE career night next semester. The premise is that we will have alumni come back to school to talk about there careers, etc. We will have our last meeting of the semester on Dec. 6th. It will be a short one so please try to attend.
