What is VOX?

Vox @ TCNJ is a program that educates young Americans about the threats to reproductive health and rights and mobilizes them in support of reproductive freedom. Vox is part of the Planned Parenthood Responsible Choices Action Agenda, a proactive advocacy and service initiative to expand and secure reporductive rights into the next century.

Vox is the latin work for voice. We are VOX, Voices for Planned Parenthood.

How do I get involved with VOX?

Come to one of our weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 7:30 in the Women's Center. The Women's Center is in the basement of the Student Center. You can also e-mail us at vox@tcnj.edu, but the meetings are a better way to get involved.

We have a Planned Parenthood on campus? Where is it and what are the hours for Planned Parenthood on campus?

Yes, The College of New Jersey has an affiliate of Planned Parenthood of Mercer Area on campus. It is located in room 107 of Eickhoff hall, in the back of Health Services. To make an appointment and inquire about fees, call 609-771-2110.

What does Planned Parenthood on campus provide?

Planned Parenthood on campus provides birth control, emergency contraception, pap smears, OBYGN examinations, condoms (6 for $1), and STD/STI screenings. For more information as to what Planned Parenthood provides, feel free to call them at 609-771-2110.

Where can I get information about emergancy contraception?

The staff at Planned Parenthood on campus would be more then happy to answer all of your questions about Emergency Contraception. Planned Parenthood on campus is located in room 107 of Eickhoff hall, in the back of Health Services. The hours of operation are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. They can be reached by phone during open hours at 609-771-2110.

Does VOX support abortion?

VOX is pro-choice. It is important to note that pro-choice signifies "freedom to choose" and is not synonymous with "pro-abortion." VOX supports your right to make informed decisions about health, sexuality, and family planning. Regarding abortion, we support the right to an informed decision, whether this decision be life, adoption, or abortion. We do not encourage or promote abortion above other options.

VOX's overall mission is to spread awareness of reproductive health and reproductive choice. This mission is very expansive and addresses a range of issues beyond the preservation of a woman's right to choose. This includes the availability and proper use of contraceptives, STD awareness, family planning, OBGYN services, and more.
