Music & Media Reserves
How to Place a Media Item on Reserve:
- In person/campus mail: Print and fill out this Media Reserve Request Form (pdf) and submit to Beth Lawton, Media Services Supervisor - TCNJ Library, through campus mail or drop it off at the Media Services Desk.
- Email this Media Reserve Request Form (MS-Word) as an attachment to Beth Lawton, Media Services Supervisor, lawton@tcnj.edu .
Personal copies
- Faculty may place personal copies of media materials on reserve. Media Services will not accept materials recorded off the air, or illegally copied or compiled tapes without the written permission of the copyright owner.
- Placing personal copies on Reserve must be done in person at the Media Desk and a Reserve List/ Personal Copy Release Form must be signed. Please clearly mark materials with instructor’s name and the class.
Streaming Audio Reserves
- Streaming Audio Reserves (SAR) will be made available for TCNJ classes requiring library audio reserves. Only faculty and students in the class will have access to SAR.
- All material placed on SAR must be owned by the TCNJ library and in the collection at the time of processing. Please plan ahead and allow time for new items to be ordered, received and processed. No personal copies of recordings will be digitized for online audio reserves.
- All SAR material will be uploaded in individual tracks. No anthologies will be digitized.
- Instructors must provide the specific details on the item they need digitized on the reserve forms listed above. The CD that is digitized will also be placed on Reserve.
- Please allow two weeks for processing.
- SAR will be available through the library catalog Reserves system as a link to the website, and will be available for the length of the course only.
- Reserve lists and new requests must be submitted each semester.
