WGS 319 - Women and the Legislative Process Part II: Legislative Placement
(Prerequisite: WGS 318) (Behavioral, Cultural and Social Perspective, Gender, Community Engagement)

 
This practicum course, open only to students who have completed WGS 318, will provide on-site experience in the ways in which laws are made and the roles citizens can have in the process.  Students will intern with state legislators for a minimum of eight hours per week hour and meet weekly in the classroom with an academic instructor.  At the end of this course, students will have achieved a level of proficiency in multiple aspects of the legislative process which will enable and encourage future participation in the law-making process.
