ASTRONOMY 161 PROJECTS
Observing Projects
You should complete an observing project.
The project has two parts.
Part I
You will go to the observatory. With help
of the astronomers working there, you will
pick as many objects as possible for your study.
You will prepare a stack of observing logs
(You should make your own notes on these sheets
that you will be getting at the observatory)
as APPENDIX to your project report.
Part II
After the
completion of Part I, you should write
a report about your observations.
The discussion should revolve around the
astronomical objects. The expectation is
a very critical report.
The length of your report should be about
10 pages. At the end of the report,
attach the observing logs that you have gotten signed by
the astronomer-in-charge
at the observatory as APPENDIX (See Part I).
