Teaching Seminars Registration

The teaching Wilder seminars, taking place on Thursday October 2nd and Friday October 3rd, will be a combination of lecture, discussion, and sharing of printed curricular materials with New Jersey teachers who pre-register.  (The sessions are free, but there is an optional charge for boxed lunches.)  In conversations led by top Wilder scholars, New Jersey teachers will be able to discuss the use of Wilder’s drama and fiction in their classrooms, examining such issues as Wilder as universal writer, Wilder as American writer, Wilder and genre boundaries, Wilder’s unconventional theatrical style, and so forth. In attending the seminars and other conference events, teachers will earn professional development credit.

Enrollment in the seminars will be limited to 20, but we will add as many sections of the seminar on Thursday and Friday as needed. The deadline for registration and ordering a boxed lunch is September 15th; it is important for teachers to pre-register so that we know how many seminar leaders and rooms are needed. Click here for a printable registration form, and for the conference schedule of events, as it stands now, to help you decide which day you would like to attend to earn professional development credits for the teaching seminars and other programs.
