EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES
FILM
- Scott Hamilton Kennedy's film OT/Our Town, first prize winner, in the documentary category, of the 2002 L.A. film festival, provides a director's slant on the play. Students can view the film, then comment, in writing, as an oral presentation, or classroom discussion, on what insights Kennedy brings to the play. How does his film change students' own response "Our Town"?

Welcome to the Education page of the Thornton Wilder Society Newsletter. Here you will find two sections, one for teachers, students, and actors, the other for scholarly materials and exchanges. These areas are not, of course, mutually exclusive, although one contains materials intended to be useful for teaching Wilder in the classroom, the other contains materials intended to serve as a resource for writers, researchers, and scholars. We hope that you will use both frequently and that you will let us know what is helpful, what is not helpful, and what would be helpful. Both sections will contain an area soliciting your ideas and comments.
