Press and Communications
The Communications/Press department is responsible for handling all aspects of media relations, event planning, marketing and promotion (including publications) for the DLC and PPI. The department works with major press outlets both nationally and regionally and in a variety of media, including television, radio and print.
Intern Information:
Interns working with Communications/Press will:
• Assist in promoting events and news briefings
• Draft press releases and correspondence
• Conduct research on various regional media markets
• Handle daily media inquiries and requests
• Assist in maintaining the DLC-PPI database and website
• Edit and proof press releases and correspondence
• Handle publication requests, inquiries and production

To apply for an internship, please fill out our internship application form and e-mail your cover letter, resume, and a short writing sample (no more than 5 pages) to internships@dlc.org.
Deadlines for applications are rolling except for summer. Please submit summer applications by March 1st. Applicants outside the tri-state area (DC-MD-VA) must be 18 years or older to participate in the DLC-PPI internship program.
