Women's Sports FoundationThe Women's Sports Foundation is a great place to get a start on an exciting career. Our interns have gone on to be "movers and shakers" in the sports world and beyond! 1. To provide sports management students with a broad exposure to the sports industry in general and, more specifically, to issues, opportunities and programming related to women's sports and physical activity; Where You Will Work: Interns work at the Women's Sports Foundation in East Meadow, N.Y., located 45 minutes from New York City. Your Committment: Interns must commit to the Foundation for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 1 year, and are expected to work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Internships are available in two sessions - January to June or June to December. Compensation: Interns receive a stipend ranging from $800/mo. to $900/mo. Housing: The Foundation does not provide housing for interns, however, upon acceptance to the program, the Foundation will provide a list of local housing and highly encourages prospective interns to investigate all possibilities for housing through friends, family and other networks. A Great Job! Half of your day is spent in the Foundation's Information Referral Service answering the toll-free phone line, responding to information requests, and referring people to other sources for information.
