Agenda & Assignment 5, February

CSC 101/IMM 120

Spring 2009

Summary of Class Activities:

We will spend the class reviewing each other's projects. Please make an effort to look at every project in the room.

Each programmer should negotiate for at least 2 (two) reviewers to file a formal review. This is the programmer's responsibilty. Do not be shy, or ask Dr. Wolz to negotiate. Your writing assignment this week requires you to summarize the reviews from these critiques.

As a reviewer you are required to file 3 (three) reviews. The review sheet is posted.

Please try to complete your reviews in class, but if you can't then submit them on Friday. Do not email them to Dr. Wolz. However, you should email the reviews to programmer asap so they can complete their report.

HOMEWORK

Due February 10: Read Chapters 3 & 5. Go to the Processing site (google processing) and download the programming environment. Also download the sample code for our textbook.

Programming Assignment: (Collected on Feb. 13)

Final project due Friday February 13th!

Make sure your "tutorial programs" are posted on the Wiki. If you don't know how to do this, please ask!

Journal Assignment:

Summarize the comments from your reviewers. You should have at least 2 reviews. If not, please negotiate to get them, and if you are having trouble, please let Dr. Wolz know. How do the reviews impact what you will do to complete the project. Project implementation requires coming to grips with the fact that the eyes are always bigger than the stomach. Explain the difference between what your imagination projected your project would look like, and what your project became.
