The 4.5 million dollar Aquatic Center opened in 1987 as one of the finest indoor facilities in

the East. The pool is divided by a movable bulkhead that can be set for 30 meters of (deep

water) water polo, 25 yards or 25 meters with eight lanes for swimming competition, along

with a separate diving/warm-up area. Each lane is eight feet wide, with an additional 18 "

at each end lane. A full readout Omega timing/scoring board is available for all aquatic

events. In addition to the general lighting which provides excellent photographic and video

productions, infrared light provides accent lighting and deck heating. TCNJ's facility is the

host of classes, recreational activities, camps and clinics, in addition to many competitive

events in swimming, diving and water polo.
