If you have determined that you have not placed out of WRI 102 through your SAT scores, but would like to try to place out of the class, please select one of the days and times listed below to take the Writing Exemption and Placement Exam.
The Exam is offered on these days only. It usually takes students approximately one and a half hours to complete the exam. The exam involves reading a short newspaper article and writing in response to it based on a prompt. To best prepare for exam, please review the scoring rubric.
The exam is conducted in labs 205 and 225 in the Business Building. Please sign-in at the registration table in the hallway before entering one of the labs.
Letters will be available for any student who needs to verify participation in the exam. Please ask at the registration table.
After you sign up, please print your confirmation page and bring it with you to the exam.
