Benjamin (Ben) and Black Jack (BJ). BJ was impossible to photograph. She suck up all available light, and photos of her simply show a black silhouette. This photo was taken two years prior to Ben's death and four years prior to BJ's death. I got another black horse (Bubba) the year before BJ died and a black dog (Nina) two weeks after Ben died. I now have a new horse, Lakota in Pennsylvania, and Bubba lives in Colorado where I ride him in the summers at Aspen Canyon Ranch.
