Finding Journals by Title

The search result will show if the journal, magazine or newspaper is available in print (paper format) or electronically. In the example below, you can see that this journal is available in both formats, including four electronic databases. Your selection of format or database may depend on the dates covered. For example, if you require an article from an issue published in 1990, you would NOT select the three databases whose coverage only starts in 1999.

You would need to click on the link for TCNJ Library Print Holdings to find out the dates available in print format. Also take notice of small hypertext next to the journal title. It reads Title details from ulrichsweb.com. If you click on this, you will be able to find out whether the journal is categorized as a scholarly journal or not. (Look under Document Type.)

If the article is not available within the TCNJ Library, you can always use the Interlibrary Loan service.
