My name is Emily and I’m from Manchester, New Jersey. I attended the Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science, or MATES. I’ve always been science-minded, but my interest in Biology piqued after doing a research project on algae based biofuels. I love how the Gateway program allows me to jump into labs and get my hands dirty while contributing to actual research alongside other students and professors.
